# Billing & Plans

Manage your subscription, monitor usage, and handle payment details from the billing section.

Choose the plan that fits your needs:

## Viewing Your Current Plan

1. Go to **Settings → Billing**
2. View your current plan details including:
   * Plan name and price
   * Renewal date
   * Subscriber limit and usage
   * Email sending limit and usage
   * Verification credits remaining

## Monitoring Usage

Track your plan usage to avoid hitting limits:

## Upgrading Your Plan

<Steps>
  <Step title="Go to Billing">
    Navigate to **Settings → Billing**
  </Step>

  <Step title="Click Upgrade">
    Select the **Upgrade Plan** button
  </Step>

  <Step title="Choose New Plan">
    Compare plans and select the one that fits your needs
  </Step>

  <Step title="Confirm Payment">
    Review the price difference and confirm
  </Step>

**What happens when you upgrade:**

* New limits take effect immediately
* You're charged a prorated amount for the current billing period
* Future renewals are at the new plan price

## Downgrading Your Plan

<Warning>
  Before downgrading, ensure your current usage is within the limits of the lower plan. You may need to remove subscribers or reduce usage first.

1. Go to **Settings → Billing**
2. Click **Change Plan**
3. Select a lower-tier plan
4. Review impact on your features and limits
5. Confirm the downgrade

The change takes effect at the end of your current billing period.

## Managing Payment Methods

### Adding a Payment Method

1. Go to **Settings → Billing → Payment Methods**
2. Click **Add Payment Method**
3. Enter your card details
4. Save the payment method

### Updating Payment Information

Keep your payment method current to avoid service interruption:

* Update expiring cards before they expire
* Set a default payment method
* Remove old or unused cards

## Billing History

View and download past invoices:

1. Go to **Settings → Billing → Invoices**
2. View all past transactions
3. Click on any invoice to view details
4. Download PDF invoices for your records

## Purchasing Verification Credits

Need more email or phone verification credits?

1. Go to **Buy Credits** in the sidebar
2. Select a credit package
3. Complete payment
4. Credits are added immediately

## Canceling Your Subscription

To cancel your MailGreet subscription:

1. Go to **Settings → Billing**
2. Click **Cancel Subscription**
3. Provide feedback (optional but appreciated)
4. Confirm cancellation

**What happens when you cancel:**

* You keep access until end of billing period
* Your data is retained for 30 days
* You can reactivate anytime during the retention period
